One of the showbiz celebrities who started their career at a young age is Manilyn Reynes. She’s in the entertainment industry for more than 35 years now since her first stint in a movie in 1982.
Manilyn Reynes’ Personal Background
Manilyn was born in April 27, 1972 to Nelson Reynes and Louching Reynes. Despite her long-stay in showbiz for several decades now, not much is known about the roots of the actress as both her parents are non-showbiz people.
The actress married actor Aljon Jimenez in 1996. Currently, he is semi-retired from doing projects while she is still active in the industry. Their marriage is blessed with three (3) sons – Kyle, Kirk, and Kael.
Manilyn’s Showbiz Career
Manilyn was still a child when she entered showbiz. It was in 1982 when her career started and her first film was To Mama with Love. She already won a best actress award as a child star with her film Minsan May Isang Ina.
Manilyn Reynes is one of the pioneers of That’s Entertainment, a youth musical show hosted by the late German “Kuya Germs” Moreno in 1986. Her husband, Aljon Jimenez, is also an alumnus of the said GMA-7 show.
Throughout her career, Manilyn has experienced both being a Kapamilya under ABS-CBN Network and a Kapuso under GMA-7 Network. Currently, she is under the latter.
