Jerome Ponce’s Personal Background
Born on June 4, 1994, Jerome Ponce’s real name is Joseph Jerome Gapido Poriuncula. Only his father, Jesus Porciuncula Jr., is on the records and he has two siblings – Jerricho and Jesus Ponce. He is the nephew of the late veteran actor Lauro Delgado or Loreto Porciuncula in real life. He is the older brother of the actor’s father.
Jerome attended his secondary education in Malayan High School of Science in Pandacan, Manila. He enrolled at Mapua Institute of Technology for college but he postponed it as he started his acting career. He is the chairman of the Sangguniang Kabataan (SK) of Barangay 628.
Jerome Ponce’s Showbiz Career
The actor started in theater plays. He had two (2) attempts to join the ABS-CBN reality program Pinoy Big Brother but he always fell in reserved slots. As a theater actor, he portrayed a character in the musical play Cory ng Edsa.
In 2012, the TV acting career of Jerome officially started. He was part of the ABS-CBN television drama series Be Careful with My Heart. The actor played the character of Luke Lim, the son of the major role, in the said TV series. He entrusted his career to Star Magic, the talent arm of the Kapamilya network.
Jerome Ponce in The Good Son
One of the biggest projects that Jerome did was The Good Son, an ABS-CBN drama television series that aired in 2017. Aside from Jerome, Kapamilya actors Joshua Garcia, Nash Aguas, and McCoy de Leon also played the main roles in the TV series. Jerome Ponce’s character was Lorenzo “Enzo” Buenavidez. He is one of the sons of Victor Buenavidez and he is also in search of the one responsible for the death of his father.
