Kalamay Vendor Antonette Tismo Performs Aegis Hit, Turns 3 Chairs (Video)

Antonette Tismo performs “Sayang na Sayang” on The Voice Kids.

A young kid named Antonette Tismo who sells sugar, rice cakes, and vegetables became the latest three-chair turner in “The Voice Kids Philippines Season 3” after she pulled off a great performance.

In the episode aired on Sunday, Antonette Tismo took the stage singing Aegis’ hit “Sayang na Sayang,” which made the coaches Lea Salonga, Bamboo, Sharon Cuneta turn at the same time.

The Tony-award winning singer told Tismo that even though she is singing high notes, she managed not to sound like she is shouting.

“Ang galing mo, bata ka. Kahit na napakataas na ‘yung mga nota, hindi tunog sigaw, tunog kanta pa rin,” Salonga said.

Country’s rock icon lamented also the 13-year-old’s style of singing and her emotions.

The Megastar also brought up her viral video which according to her, has made Tismo confident in joining the show.

“Siguro ‘yung dami ng views ng viral mong video sa YouTube, siguro nakadagdag ‘yung sa kumpiyansa mo sa sarili mo kasi pagharap naming tatlo, talagang parang wala, humihinga ka lang eh. Hindi naman kailangang bumirit nang pasigaw. Pwedeng bumirit nang katulad ng ginawa mo,” she was quoted saying by ABS-CBN News.

Before she auditioned, Tismo became an internet sensation because of her viral video. She was filmed singing by her customer in exchange of buying rice cakes.

Eventually, Tismo chose to be part of Cuneta’s team, making her the second contestant of the night to join her group.
