Young Student Answers “I HATE FILIPINO” During Exam in Filipino
A young student goes viral and elicits reactions from the online community after writing “I HATE FILIPINO” during exam in Filipino.
School examinations are an important part of the education system, providing a way to measure students’ understanding and mastery of the course material.
While they can be stressful, examinations are necessary to ensure that students are receiving a high-quality education and are able to progress to higher levels of learning.

Examinations can come in different formats, such as multiple choice, short answer, or essay questions. Each format serves a specific purpose and tests different skills.
A Facebook user named Libertie Belisario Pastolero has shared a photo of her son’s exam paper. The photo quickly spread online and garnered various comments from netizens.
In the photo, the young student wrote “I hate Filipino” instead of answering the test questions. Pastolero even asked the teacher to give her son another chance to take the examination.

Libertie claimed that her son could read at the age of two, but he was only reading English books. “2 years old pa lang po siya marunong na magbasa medyo advance ‘yong utak niya pero English book po laging binabasa, nilalaro at pinapanood,” she said.
The loving mother explained that her son’s cousin, who came from the US, had a huge impact on his communication skills.
“Hindi kami nag-e-English sa bahay, ganun din siya noon pero natuto siya [nito] dahil sa mga pinapanood niya. Malaking factor ‘yong pinsan niyang US citizen na nakasama niya po for three weeks, since then ayaw na po niya mag-Tagalog,” Pastolero said.

The lady netizen clarified that her son finished the exam, although he received a low score for Sibika and Filipino. However, the young boy received high scores in other subjects.
“Mababa lang po grade niya sa Sibika at Filipino pero matataas naman po sa mga subjects na English language,” she added.
The social media users expressed their reactions to the post:
