Vice Ganda acknowledges the fact that he is successful now but he has a wish
Unkabogable Star Vice Ganda talked about his celebrity status and he admitted that he feels this but he wishes people would be more “kalma.”
Vice, just like many comedians who made it big in the entertainment industry, started fulfilling his dreams in comedy bars. Eventually, he was able to have a chance to be in mainstream media.
Based on the article in Bandera, the It’s Showtime host started in comedy bars with just P200 to P300 talent fee for every gig. Now, he is a millionaire and he has been reaping the fruit of his success.
In an interview, Vice Ganda admitted that not all the time, he feels comfortable being a celebrity. “May mga times na I just wish sana kalma lang ang mga tao, kalma lang ang mga eksena, sana normal lang. But it will not be very sincere kapag sinabi kong hindi ko nararamdaman ang celebrity status ko,” he shared.
He said that he can’t control situations when his in public places. Vice shared that when he goes to the mall, people would go frenzy and he can’t dictate to them not to do that. There were times also when people would allow him to go first in the queue which he is trying to avoid, especially if there are a lot of people.
On the other hand, he said that he would also use these kinds of privileges sometimes but if it is really needed. “Hindi ako makaalis ng walang security. Hindi ako makaalis ng ako lang kasi hindi ko kayang sawayin ‘yung ibang tao. Hindi nila maiintindihan. Kailangang may ibang gumawa nu’n para sa akin,” Vice Ganda said.
He said that he needs other people to say “no” for him because if this will come from him, some people might not understand or misinterpret what he really means, and this might be taken against him.
