Cebu Man Trying to Help Firefighters to Put Out Fire Dies of Electrocution
A Cebu man has passed away after suffering electrocution while helping the firefighters to put out a fire in Talisay City, Cebu.
Fire is one of the most unexpected incidents that put many lives in danger because it could happen anytime and anywhere without noticeable indications. It could lead to a loss of properties and even lives.
Most fire incidents could start with electrical problems, unplugged appliances, and gadgets but there are tons of factors that can cause fire, which is really hard to prevent. It could leave victims with little to start with or nothing at all.
Prior to the Christmas holidays in Talisay City, Cebu, a 21-year-old was killed by a live wire while he was attempting to assist firefighters put out a fire in a residential area. The victim has been identified as Jonard Requilme.
The victim’s mother is currently seeking help after her beloved son was hit by a live wire and died of electrocution.
According to Talisay Bureau of Fire Protection SFO3 Guiller Pegarido on Sunday (December 18, 2022), the emergency medical services bring the victim to the hospital but the health workers declared him dead on arrival.
According to reports, the fire started in a fire-prone region and spread because the houses were close to one another and the small roadways made it difficult to put it out quickly. Another fire hydrant nearby was also inoperable.
According to Pegarido, the fire reached the third alarm and caused P1.521 million in damage.
