Arnold Clavio Reacts to the Decision of Government to Import Fish
Veteran journalist Arnold Clavio expresses his reactions to the decision of the government to import fish into the country.
Clavio took to Instagram to voice his viewpoint on the Department of Agriculture’s (DA) choice to import fish. Recall that the DA declared on November 12 that they will import 25,000 metric tons of fish during the ensuing months.
The notice states that they must import various fish species, including galunggong, to make up for the anticipated supply gap caused by the four-month-long restricted fishing season. Every year, from November 15 to February 15 there is a closed fishing season to boost the supply of fish in the nation.
In his post, Clavio referred to President Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr.’s criticism of the Philippines’ importation of fish in September, despite the fact that the nation is encircled by water. Clavio thinks that if the Philippines only imports fish from foreign nations, it will have a significant negative impact on fishermen.
“Anong nangyari Ginoong Pangulo?
