Ambulance Driver Caught Possessing Illegal Drugs, and Guns in Batangas
Members of the Batangas Philippine National Police (PNP) arrested an ambulance driver for allegedly possessing illegal drugs and guns.
Police Colonel Pedro Soliba, Officer-in-Charge of the Batangas Police Provincial Office, identified the suspect as Galie Lunar, 41, a married regular employee of the Lipa City Health Office as an ambulance driver. Lunar was detained for violating RA 9165 and RA 10591 in the search warrant issued by the Batangas PNP.
According to the report, PCol Soliba claims that officers from the Lipa City Police Station, the Provincial Intelligence Unit, the Batangas Police Provincial Office, a media representative, and a housewife named Mrs. Deborah Lunar detained the suspect at his residence.
The suspect was taken into custody along with a digital scale, a lighter, a water pipe, and two heat-sealed translucent plastic sachets of suspected shabu. Authorities also seized various firearms that were in his hands.
A caliber 9MM revolver (North American Arms/Black Widow), a caliber 45 pistol spire field. In addition to that, several ammunitions were also found in different containers.
A flashlight case with eight fired cartridge cases for caliber 9 MM, 29 pieces of ammunition of cal 45, a transparent plastic ice bag with 20 fired cartridge cases for caliber 40, five fired cartridge case for caliber 45, a fired cartridge case for cal super 38, a black pouch bag containing an ammo box with 45 bullets of 9 MM, a green flashlight case containing 20 cal 9MM bullets, a black pouch bag containing three cal 5.56 bullets, three cal 40 bullets, two super 38 bullets, an eyeglass case with 15 fired cartridges case for ca l 40 and a plastic ice bag with 33 bullets of cal 9 MM.
The suspect is accused of violating both RA 10591, the Comprehensive Firearms and Ammunition Regulation Act, and RA 9165, the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002. In order to create a calm, tranquil, and wealthy neighborhood, the entire Batangas PNP continues to carry out operations against illegal substances and criminals.
