Five of the dead were removed from the home at about 6:30 in the morning this Saturday, according to a report by GMA News. Based on the location of the victims’ remains, the BFP speculates that they may have attempted to flee their burning home.
Two of the fatalities were discovered on the first floor, and the mother and her 2-year-old son were discovered in the stairway. The report added that two other kids were discovered on the second floor.
It has been said that the victims may have succumbed to their injuries and fallen unconscious before being struck by smoldering home rubble. Based on the report, the fire began at 1:54 in the morning in the Villa Corina subdivision, at the victims’ home.
The BFP called the initial alarm, and at 3:20 a.m. they put out the fire. The BFP investigation is still going on to figure out what started the fire. The BFP estimates that the fire will cause P1.5 million in damage.
