LGUs Declares Class Suspensions in These Areas

WALANG PASOK – Various local government units have declared class suspensions in several areas due to Tropical Depression Maymay.

On Tuesday (October 11, 2022), the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical, and Astronomical Services Administration reported that the low-pressure area being monitored within the Philippine Area of Responsibility has developed into a Tropical Depression.

The Tropical Depression named Maymay has been last spotted 285 km East of Casiguran, Aurora. It has maximum sustained winds of 45 kilometers per hour near the center and gustiness of up to 55 kph.

Class Suspensions

The weather disturbance is expected to bring moderate to heavy with at times intense rains expected in different parts of the country. The weather agency has also raised tropical cyclone wind signal no. 1 in Isabela, Quirino, Nueva Vizcaya, Aurora, Nueva Ecija, and extreme northern portion of Quezon.

Some LGUs have declared class suspensions in several areas due to the inclement weather condition brought by Tropical Depressional Maymay.

  • Allacapan – All levels, public and private
  • Sto. Niño – All levels, public and private
  • Gattaran – All levels, public and private
  • Claveria – All levels, public only
  • Ballesteros – Preschool to senior high school
  • Gonzaga – Preschool to senior high school
  • Pamplona – Preschool to elementary
  • Alcala – Nursery and kindergarten
