Construction Worker Dies After Drinking Entire Bottle of Alcoholic Drink for P20,000
A 29-year-old construction worker from Villanueva, Misamis Oriental has passed away after completing ‘laklak challenge’.
The construction worker identified as Rechie Dumaloan died after consuming an entire bottle of alcoholic beverage during ‘laklak longneck challenge’. The victim joined the challenge in exchange for P20, 000.
Dumalaon decided to wholeheartedly accept the challenge to earn a huge amount of cash in an instant. The latter really needs cash during that time, which pushed him to accept the challenge despite the risk.
He consumed the entire bottle of alcoholic drink within 20 seconds. After a few moments, Rechie’s jaw gets stiff and lost his consciousness. The victim was rushed to the hospital for immediate medical attention.
Unfortunately, the victim passed away a few hours after he was hospitalized. The police authorities also learned that Dumalaon has heart disease.
According to Rechie’s cousin, the latter will use the money to buy medicines for his sick father. The victim also wants to save cash for his supposed wedding in December.
The police authorities will continue to investigate the incident.

“Patay ang 29-anyos na lalaki makaraang tunggain ang laman ng “long neck” kapalit ng P20,000 sa Brgy. Looc, Villanueva, Misamis Oriental.
Naubos ng obrerong si Rechie Dumaloan ang laman ng bote pero maya-maya pa ay nanigas ang panga nito at nawalan ng malay kaya isinugod sa ospital.
Namatay ang biktima habang ginagamot sa ospital. Ayon sa mga doktor, bumigay ang internal organs nito.
Napag-alaman na pinatulan ni Dumaloan ang challenge dahil kailangan nito ng pera para sa ama na may sakit.”
