Several LGUs Declare Class Suspensions in These Areas (September 2) Due to Super Typhoon Henry
WALANG PASOK – Several local government units have declared class suspensions due to the inclement weather brought by Super Typhoon Henry.
Over the past few days, Super Typhoon Henry continues to bring inclement weather conditions to different parts of the country. The weather disturbance brings heavy rains and strong winds.
Super Typhoon Henry has maximum sustained winds of 175 kilometers per hour near the center, and gustiness of up to 215 kph. Henry has been last spotted 395 kilometers east of Itbayat, Batanes.
On Friday (September 2, 2022), various local government units declared class suspensions due to the inclement weather condition brought by the super typhoon. Class cancellations have been declared to ensure the safety of students, teachers, and government workers.
Here is the list of affected areas:
- Alaminos, Pangasinan – All levels
- Baguio City – Pre-school to Elementary
- Batanes – All levels (Kindergarten to College)
- La Trinidad – Pre-school to Elementary

Gov. Marilou Cayco in Batanes suspends the work in government offices in the entire province due to rain and strong winds. However, government offices involved in the delivery of basic services and emergency response should continue with their operations.
Henry is expected to leave the Philippine Area of Responsibility on Saturday evening (September 3) or Sunday morning (September 4).
