Lyca Gairanod is happy and thankful for the success and opportunities that were offered to her after winning the hit singing competition, the first-ever “The Voice Kids” in the country on July.

In an interview with ABS-CBN News’ Mario Dumaul, the young singer also said that she grateful for her fans for the support that she has been receiving from them, and for the gifts and clothes that they gave her.
Lyca Gairanod, who is now dubbed as country’s “Little Superstar”, recently made headlines after beating the ratings of “The Voice Kids” finale when she appeared in the longest-running drama anthology in Asia “Maalaa Mo Kaya”, telling her life story on August 16, 2014.
The 9-year-old artist is set also to compete in the Metro Manila Film Festival this year. She joined the casts of the highest-grossing movie “The Unkabogable Praybeyt Benjamin” for its sequel.
She will also have an album under MCA Music. She will also join the veteran singer Lani Misalucha in her concert tour on Davao, Cebu and Baguio with “The Voice Kids” first runner-up Darren Espanto.
Lyca Gairanod lives in Taza, Cavite and she used to be a scavengerĀ before joining the singing competition. His father is a fisherman while her mother is a scavenger.
Lyca Gairanod helped her mother in collecting recyclable materials to supplement their family’s income. She also performed for her neighbors in exchange for money.
