The Voice Kids first ever winner Lyca Gairanod and grand finalist Darren Espanto is set to join Asia’s Nightingale Lani Misalucha in a concert tour.
Speaking with ABS-CBN News’ Mario Dumaual, the 45-year-old veteran singer said that she is excited to share a stage with these young singers who made name in the top-trending singing competition recently.
Lyca Gairanod, whose story was previously featured in the longest-running drama anthology Maalaala Mo Kaya (MMK) won the competition which named her as the first ever winner of the Philippine edition of The Voice Kids while Darren Espanto won as her runner-up.
Lani Misalucha also expressed her admiration to the two despite of their young age, they manage to feature a one-of-a-kind vocal prowess.
The singer which is being dubbed as “New Siren of the Strip” was quoted as saying that “Itong mga batang ito, malayo ang mararating nito. Mahuhusay. Para sa akin, tama na sila ang natira. Silang apat, mahusay ang mga bata. Kasi alam mo, minsan may mga bata na nagdaan ng training, pero sa kanila talagang lumalabas lang ang musika sa katawan nila. Natural na nandoon,” she said.
Lani Misalucha also gave advice to the young singers that they must finished their studies well before they ventured into show business.
Lyca Gairanod, the first-ever winner of The Voice Kids together with her runner-up Darren Espanto will join Misalucha in her upcoming concert tour which will be held in Cebu, Davao and Baguio.
