Cherie Gil’s Death – Talent manager vlogger Ogie Diaz experienced a “pagtataray” from the late actress Cherie Gil and this is what he shared in his recent Showbiz Update vlog.
Many celebrities in the Philippine entertainment industry poured their overwhelming love for the late actress these past few days. They recalled the fondest memories they had with Cherie and the lessons she imparted to them when it comes to their showbiz career and life in general.
Many celebrities attested to the kindness and the beautiful heart that Cherie had towards other people around her. Her family also shared their heartfelt messages and stories about the late actress who was known as one of the best “kontrabida” actresses in the history of Philippine showbiz.
In a recent vlog of Ogie Diaz with Mama Loi and Mrena, they talked about Cherie Gil’s death. They enumerated some of the celebrities who shared their messages for the late actress on social media. One of the celebrities that Ogie mentioned was his former “alaga” actress Liza Soberano who had the chance to work with the late actress in the series Dulce Amore.
Liza shared several photos taken during her scenes with Cherie. One of those photos showed that the late actress slapped the younger actress. Then, Ogie recalled that there was a time when he visited the shoot location of the series. There, he met Cherie Gil.
“Si Cherie Gil palabas, ako papasok. ‘Oh Mr. Ogie, what brings you here?'” Ogie shared imitating how the late actress asked that question to him. The talent manager fondly responded with a “hi” and said that Liza is his talent, at that time.
“‘Oh, she’s a great actress (Liza),’ sabi niya (Cherie),” Ogie shared. He also shared that the late actress said that he has a gold mine because of Liza. The talent manager said that this is what she remembers about the late actress.
Then, Ogie said that there were people who would say that Cherie was “mataray.” However, he said that this is not the case, it just so happened that many of the characters that the late actress portrayed onscreen were more on that antagonist side.
