The “Queen of All Media,” Kris Aquino issued a public apology to Gov. Vilma Santos, after the former actress became the target of online bashing and criticisms during the past few days when the Instagram post of Kris Aquino went viral. The Instagram post of Kris Aquino which contain wrong spelling went viral on various social networking sites.
Kris Aquino issued her public apology on Thursday’s episode of the top-rating show, “Aquino& Abunda Tonight,” the TV-host and actress Kris Aquino said that she was offended by the insinuations that she posted the photo with malice on her Instagram.
The 43-year-old Kris Aquino was quoted as saying “Ako, I take offense doon sa nagsasabi na I meant her harm by posting that. I didn’t. You know I’m a fan, you know I’m a Vilmanian,” she said.
Kris Aquino added further that the card sent to her by Gov. Vilma Santos did not bother her. The actress was quoted as saying “”Ako po ‘yung recipient ng card. Kung ako, noong binabasa ko, hindi ko tsinek, hindi ako nagpaka-English teacher doon sa card na ‘yon… What touched me was the honesty, the sincerity, the genuine kindness that she showed me.” she said.
The controversial wrong spelling of Gov. Vilma Santos started after Kris Aquino, one of the most-followed Instagram user in the Philippines, with more than one million followers posted a photo of an ensaymada with the following dedication.
“Dearest Kris, Thank you sooo much for believing in me! I truely [sic] appreciate it friend… Life is short… Enjoy it – you are so bless [sic]… God is good. Smile 🙂 – Ate Vi”
When the Governor of Batangas, Gov. Vilma Santos was asked for her opinion of the controversial “wrong spelling” issue against her, the “Star for All Season,” humbly accepted her mistake and thanked for those “grammar police” who corrected her online.
According to Gov. Vilma Santos she would rather focus on her job as the head of the Province of Batangas than to react with the controversial grammar and spelling. She noted further that it’s just an honest mistake for Gov. Vilma Santos.
