Here’s what Angeline Quinto shared about being a first-time mom.
ANGELINE QUINTO – Kapamilya singer Angeline Quinto shares something about her new experiences being a first time mother to Sylvio.
Last April, Kapamilya singer Angeline Quinto gave birth to baby Sylvio, her firstborn with her nonshowbiz partner Nonrev Daquina. She also gave birth just in time to celebrate Mother’s Day the following month when she received a huge surprise from her partner.
Motherhood, just like many people said, is a lifetime responsibility. It doesn’t have a day off and it doesn’t give leave benefits. Once you become a mother, you are a mother all your life and in all of your time. And for Angeline, being a mother is more like an honor and a blessing to her. She had prayed for this and she’s grateful that she’s given another reason to live and another reason to work hard.
Shortly after giving birth, she returned to work. And just recently, she opened up something about being a mother. She was told about postpartum blues which she’s not certain if she’s going through it. But she is aware of her drastic emotional changes.
“So may mga pagkakataon po na bigla akong iiyak, ‘di ko alam kung ano ang dahilan. Minsan ‘yung papa ng baby ko, galit ako sa kanya, ‘di ko rin alam ang dahilan. Minsan may time na in love na in love ako. May time na tuwang-tuwa ako sa kanya,” she said.
However, she is aware that all of those are just part of being a mother and she’s embracing those emotions. It wasn’t all easy she said but it’s becoming all worth it every time she’s looking at her baby.
Apart from the mood swings, the most challenging for her is the staying-up-late moments with her son. She said, “Ang pinaka-challenging ‘yung lagi akong puyat. Minsan natataranta ako kapag biglang umiiyak ‘yung baby. Minsan kapag pinaliliguan mo siya, ‘di mo alam kung may mali ba sa paraan ng pagpapaligo ko.”
