Michael V has accepted that his candidate did not win
Seasoned comedian Michael V shared his poem as a Kakampink accepting that the “red” won in the 2022 elections.
Michael, popularly known as Bitoy in the Philippine entertainment industry, was among many celebrities who shared his photo flashing his finger indelible ink after voting last May 9.
Although Bitoy did not openly endorse any presidential candidate, the post that he shared on Election Day has spoken aloud his choice. “Best of luck to our next president… whoever she may be,” Michael V wrote.
In this year’s election, the only woman in the presidential race is Vice President Leni Robredo. With this, Bitoy is just one of the celebrity Kakampinks. On May 13, the Kapuso comedian shared a meaningful poem.
His post featured a photo of what seemed to be a pink paint overpowered by the red. In Bitoy’s poem, he expressed that he has accepted that the majority chose red, the campaign color of UniTeam’s presidential candidate Bongbong Marcos whose running mate Mayor Sara Duterte is also leading the partial and unofficial Comelec count.
Bitoy also said that he has no intention to be political because he is in the world of entertainment where he has spent three decades of his life. Although the candidate he voted for did not win, the comedian said that he is willing to follow the government. With the election result, Michael V said that now he knows who is strong.
