However, just recently, he fell victim to an online scam. Through his recent Instagram post, the Kapuso comedian warned the public. Michael V shared that usually if he has cash-on-delivery order, he would tell his “kasambahays” about this and would leave money but there are also times that he would pay through credit card.

Bitoy shared that just recently, an item was delivered to their house and it was a selfie stick. The comedian related that the item would cost P500, based on his estimation. However, his “kasambahays” paid P2,550 as that was the price stated on the package.

Bitoy also showed the address of the online seller saying that he does not even though if that was an actual address.

He said that if those online sellers would be able to get the information of a person like a name and address, they would send an item even though that person did not order anything. In some cases, they would increase the price. Michael V said that the person could refuse to accept the item if he or she did not order it.

Then, the comedian pointed out one factor that it was a scam and it was the contract number of the seller. “Sa mga mahilig mamili online, be vigilant. Abangan niyo ‘yung mga scam na kagaya into. Kapag hindi niyo inorder, just say no,” Bitoy said.
