Family of Ex-House Speaker Jose De Venecia Supports Presidential Bid of Vice Pres. Leni Robredo
Ex-House Speaker Jose de Venecia and his family support Vice President Leni Robredo‘s bid for the presidency.
In less than two (2) months, both local and national elections are set to be held in the Philippines. There are 10 candidates running for the presidency and most of them are dealing with hectic schedules now campaigning.
The national candidates are on a double-time in the pursuit to reach as many people as they can before the campaign period is over. Motorcades, caravans, and grand rallies are held everywhere daily as the May 9 Elections are fast-approaching.
Several political groups have also announced the candidates that they will support in the upcoming poll. Known personalities in the different fields, some religious groups and leaders, and even private individuals are now vocal about their support to their bets.
Several former government officials have also voiced their support to certain candidates. For ex-house speaker Jose De Venecia and his family, they are supporting the presidential bid of Vice President Leni Robredo.
Based on a report on ABS-CBN News, the support of ex-house speaker Jose De Venecia and his family to Vice Pres. Leni Robredo was announced by his son, Pangasinan 4th District Representative Christopher de Venecia during a gathering in Dagupan.
Both the former House Speaker and his wife, former solon Gina de Venecia, were present at the event. Rep. De Venecia said that his family’s endorsement of the Vice President will further crack the alleged “solid north” that supports another presidential bet.
According to the Pangasinan Representative, the administration of Robredo will boost and develop the “Blue Economy” as it covers the push for ecotourism, maritime, salt, and fishing sectors and as well as the arts and culture sectors of the nation.
“Ipaglaban po natin ang bukas na kulay rosas,” Rep. De Venecia expressed.
