Isko Moreno said that a coup d’état will likely happen if the “red” or “yellow”
Manila Mayor Isko Moreno, running for president under Aksyon Demokratiko, urged voters to choose him if they want to have peace of mind.
Moreno presented himself as the alternative after he stated that if the “red” or “yellow” will win, more likely a coup d’état will happen, based on the report from Inquirer. The Manila Mayor did not mention any name but “red” is the campaign color of former Senator Bongbong Marcos and “yellow” was previously used by Vice President Leni Robredo who is now using the color “pink”.
Mayor Isko Moreno said that it is time for healing and fighting should not be happening right now. “It’s time to heal, time to move forward, walang nang awayan sa politika. Kasi talagang ‘pag nagpatuloy ang away n’yan, ‘pag nanalo ang isa, ikukudeta ng isa. ‘Pag nanalo ‘yung isa, ikukudeta ng isa. Aawayin ng isa, aawayin. Hindi na matitigil,” the presidential aspirant said.
He also stressed that people want peace of mind, he should be the one the public should choose. “Kasi pansin ko painit nang painit ang away ng pula at dilaw. Personalan na,” the actor-turned-politician said.
The local chief executive added that the fight is getting personal already and either camp will win, the other one will avenge. “Para bang sila tumatakbo kasi gusto lang nila tumakbo para talunin ‘yung isa, ‘yung isang political clan laban sa kabilang political clan,” he stressed.
For Mayor Isko Moreno, he is the alternative to the “feud” between two groups that have been very dominant in the political arena for many years now. In a recently released Pulse Asia survey result, the Manila Mayor placed number 3 with 8 percent. Marcos is still leading with 56 percent despite 4 percent was being diminished from his previous record while Robredo gained 9 percent from the previous survey result and now has 24 percent.
