Political color is not the focus of Leni Robredo
Vice President Leni Robredo said that the political color of CaMaNaVa (Caloocan, Malabon, Navotas, Valenzuela) back in 2016 is no big deal to her.
In the vice presidential race six years ago, VP Leni did not triumph against her strong opponent. However, she expressed no bitterness on the election result back then.
Based on the report from News5, during a recent campaign event in CaMaNaVa, she said that despite losing in the said area, when she won, she still values equality.
“Hindi po ako tumngin ng kulay. Hindi ko po tingnan saan na ako tinulungan, saan ba hindi,” VP Leni Robredo said. She also stressed that the Office of the Vice President still continues to help CaMaNaVa when it comes to livelihood programs and medical assistance, especially amid the pandemic.
“Dito sa Caloocan, may dalawang ospital po tayong nilagyan ng pera, sa iba pong lugar mayroon din. Kinukuwenta ko po, kulang-kulang P30 million pesos ang inilagay natin dito sa inyo, para ‘yung mga pasyenteng kulang ng pambayad sa ospital ay matulungan natin,” the presidential aspirant said adding that there’s no need for the people to go to their office.
Previously, the Office of the Vice President was allowed by the Commission on Elections (Comelec) to continue its charitable efforts amid the pandemic and the of VP Leni is thankful for this.
Meanwhile, former Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) Secretary Mar Roxas has officially endorsed the presidential candidacy of Vice President Leni Robredo.
Back in 2016, VP Leni was the running mate of Roxas when he ran for president. Roxas encouraged the local officials to support Robredo when he spoke before them just recently.
