Gladys Guevarra reacted to the recent social media rant of Sharon Cuneta

Comedienne-singer Gladys Guevarra said that she used to admire Megastar Sharon Cuneta but this has changed because of the unexpected rant that the latter did due to senatorial aspirant Salvador Panelo’s performance of the song Sana’y Wala Nang Wakas.

On Twitter, Sharon’s daughter, Frankie Pangilinan retweeted as report from CNN Philippines about the said song performance of Panelo. Frankie wrote “lol” in the caption of her post. This received a reply from the Megastar.

“WHY?!!!Tell me WHY?!!!I gotta fight for my song’s rights as well as Willy Cruz’s who wrote it!Cannot be.Di dapat sinisira ang isang classic. Basta TAYO ANG AT MAY ORIG!Oh please WE HAVE NOT ALLOWED YOU TO USE OUR SONG!Please stop. Nakakaawa naman ang kanta namin at nakakahiya,” she wrote.

On the Instagram account of Sharon, she also wrote her criticism against Panelo. However, she has deleted that post as she said she wants to have good vibes only.

In line with this issue, Gladys Guevarra also shared her piece of mind. The comedienne-singer shared that she has relatives who are mentally challenged and she understands the emotion of Panelo when it comes to his son who had Down Syndrome. The senatorial aspirant said that he is dedicating Sana’y Wala Nang Wakas to his son who already passed away.

With what Sharon’s said against Panelo, Gladys said, “Dati idolo ko si Sharon Cuneta, tuwang tuwa pa ko ng magkaroon ako ng pagkakataong makilala sya ng personal noon sa Eat Bulaga. Nakakapanghinayang lang, at tama naman din yung isang nabasa ko.”

For the comedienne-singer, all the years that the Megastar spent to establish her name in the industry were put to waste with just one post. “I used to have so much respect sayo Mega, bilang mang aawit din ako. Ngayon, malinaw pa sa mineral water na nakita ng lahat ang tunay mong ugali,” she said.
