Spokesperson of Vice Pres. Leni Robredo Speaks on “Bayad” Issue over Rally in Cavite
LENI ROBREDO – The camp of the Vice president reacted to the accusations over the grand rally held in the province of Cavite.
The Elections 2022 is less than two (2) months away from now and the candidates for the national poll are on a campaign period. They are visiting as many areas as they can to reach more Filipinos to campaign before they are no longer allowed to do so.
Amid the campaign period, grand rallies are taking place in several cities and provinces daily. They usually gather a huge number of supporters and people who want to hear the platforms of the candidates so they can decide who to vote for in the upcoming election.
Undeniably, the grand rallies of presidential candidate and incumbent Vice Pres. Leni Robredo are taking social media platforms by storm as they gathered thousands of supporters.
There are claims and reports that the grand rally of the Leni-Kiko tandem in Cavite gathered some 47,000 people. While it amazed and left many of the “Kakampinks” happy, it also gained criticisms and accusations from other people.
There are accusations that the people who came to the grand rally were paid. Based on a report on ABS-CBN News, Cavite Representative Jesus Crispin “Boying” Remulla claimed that those who came to the event were paid Php 500.00 each for their attendance.
The camp of Vice Pres. Leni Robredo reacted to the said accusation over the Cavite grand rally. According to the report, Atty. Barry Gutierrez, the spokesperson of the Vice President, stressed that the supporters and the volunteers are even the ones using their own money to show their support to the Leni-Kiko tandem. He cited that the supporters are using their own money for T-shirt and poster printings to show their support.
“Ang hirap kasi sa ibang mga politiko, siguro nakagawian na nila na doon sa mga rally nila talagang hakot ang kailangan nilang gawin para magkatao. So, iniisip nila ‘yun lang ang tanging paraan para magkaroon ng tao sa isang political rally,” Gutierrez said.
