Mayor Buro’s bodyguards can be seen assaulting and harassing radio station employees in the said area, based on the footage. According to the video uploader, the mayor rushed to Big FM station with the police to shut it down because it does not have a business permit.
But there was a commotion when Big FM personnel tried to take their equipment, which according to Agramon, was believed to be in the mayor’s vehicle. The video shows a man punching right in front of the police but he was not arrested as he complained to the aggrieved.
The mayor was also heard ordering a man to be handcuffed. According to Agramon, the person who punched was the mayor’s bodyguard. Buro’s camp approached the Damulog Police Station Commander, Lt. Anthony Ofima, with a memorandum order shutting down BIG FM owing to a lack of papers to operate the airwaves.
Following the uproar, both camps registered at their office and reported the event, according to Ofima. Despite the presence of authorities on the scene, the ruckus continues as cops are unable to stop Mayor Buro’s thugs from assaulting radio station employees.
According to the article, the mentioned radio station is one of its harshest critics. However, based on the mayor’s defense, it is reasonable to initially cease transmitting on the station while adhering to the municipal mandate.
