Sheryn Regis has finally spoken her truth
Singer Sheryn Regis admitted that she was living a lie in the past because she was trying to hide that she is a lesbian.
At 18, Sheryn has started to build her family but younger than that age, she already knew her gender preference. Growing up in a conservative family, she tried to deny what she really feels and just follow what her parents wanted for her.
During a recent interview by comedian-talent manager Ogie Diaz on his YouTube channel, Sheryn talked about how she revealed her truth to her former partner Earl Echiverri, who she calls Tito Earl, and to their daughter Sweety.
“I’m living a lie. Not just to you, not just to the family, a lie sa sarili ko rin,” Sheryn Regis said to her ex-partner who accepted her and still taking care of her until now. When the singer broke this reality to her daughter, the latter said, “‘Oh well, I knew it mommy, but it doesn’t make you less of a person, it doesn’t make you less of a mom.’”
However, Sweety just asked one favor from her mother and this is not to divorce her daddy yet. Sheryn also shared that her ex-partner and their daughter are very supportive of her relationship now with vlogger-entrepreneur Mel de Guia.
To recall, the Sheryn and Mel made their relationship social media official early this month. They have been receiving love and support from celebrities and netizens when they revealed their relationship.
In the interview, Mel expressed gratitude that Earl and Sweety accepted her and the new partner of Sheryn. The vlogger said that it is because they have a common goal and it is to make the singer happy after the tough times she went through in the past.
