Snatchers Used Clothes to Block Camera from Catching Theft in Rizal Tiangge
CCTV footage shows the new modus of snatchers in Rizal Tiangge where they were caught using clothes to block the camera from catching theft.
The three women’s modus operandi was recorded on CCTV when they took the purse from the victim’s bag as she was shopping for clothes in Taytay, Rizal, according to footage from a store in the said area. Three criminals surrounded the victim and appeared to be shopping for clothing as well.

The burglars failed in their first attempt to grab the wallet from the victim’s bag. However, the group was quickly successful in obtaining the victim’s wallet and other personal items.
It was evident how a thief would disguise their actions with clothing. The criminals, according to the police, attack in groups to keep the clients unsuspecting.
Taytay police also warned residents to be aware of their surroundings. In order to protect the people, the police have increased their visibility. The case is currently being investigated by the police.
“Grupo ‘yan, may mga nagmamanman. ‘Yong iba nasa paligid lang at ‘pag nagkaroon ng opportunity, gagalaw sila,” Taytay chief of police Frank Panisan said.
“‘Yong kanilang mahahalagang gamit dapat ilagay sa safe na bag. Lahat ng lakad nila, tingnan nila sino nakadikit sa kanila para ‘di sila mabiktima. Kung mga kahina-hinalang taong umaaligid sa kanila, may mga pulis naman na pumapatrolya,” he added.
