Drivers Exposed Lacson-Sotto Face Masks Allegedly Prohibited to be Worn by Manila LGU
Public vehicle drivers exposed that the face masks with Lacson-Sotto design are allegedly being prohibited to be worn by the Manila government.
Drivers of public transportation are upset because they are being chastised for wearing Lacson-Sotto face masks while on the job. It was apparently experienced by several padyak, tricycle, and kuliglig drivers who donned face masks in some sections of Manila.

The face masks are imprinted with the names of Partido Reform presidential candidate Panfilo ‘Ping’Lacson and his running mate, Senate President Vicente’ Tito’ Sotto III, in order to provide protection from COVID-19-infected air. It can be worn, however the Lacson-Sotto part should be inverted and encased, and the blank or unmarked part should be on the outside, according to a complainant.
It has been learned that among the candidates standing for the national position, the Lacson-Sotto team has considered distributing free face masks to the poor in order to lower the expense of COVID-19 protection. They were also forbidden from putting a Lacson-Sotto tarp over their livelihood vehicles, in addition to turning over wearing face masks.
“Mga sir magandang gabi po, sa area ng district 1 Tondo sinisita ng mga police mga tarp nakalagay sa tricycle pinagbabawal tapos `yong face mask pinababaliktad po. `Yan po report ng tao natin,” said the informant.
Mayor Isko Moreno, who is running for president, is in charge of the city of Manila. The Manila mayor competes with Lacson because he is one of four presidential candidates running in the 2022 elections.
