Beauty queen Rabiya Mateo speaks about the “kabit” rumors thrown against her.
RABIYA MATEO – New GMA artist Rabiya Mateo reveals that among the nastiest comment made about her was the “kabit” accusation.
Miss Universe Philippines 2020 Rabiya Mateo has failed to bring the 5th crown for the country. Following her failed attempt to get the title, she returned to the country with a grateful heart and tried something new out of joining pageants. She started her vlogging career and recently, she was introduced as the newest artist of GMA. Ever since then, she has always been vocal about wanting to be an actress.

Rabiya, since the beginning of her pageant journey, has been criticized by a lot of people. It seemingly looks like criticisms are always tailed with prominence and being popular. And speaking about these comments that the beauty queen has to receive, the nastiest yet, so far, that she has received especially now that she’s taking the path to be an actress, is the one where she was accused of becoming a mistress the reason why she won.
To recall, her win was a bit controversial because she was not among the top bets during the pre-pageant. She received a lot of criticisms and it was the nastiest she can remember.
“Alam niyo ho ba, nung nanalo ako ng Miss Universe Philippines… kasi, di ba, dark horse ako noon?Wala akong kapanga-pangalan, galing sa probinsiya. Siguro yung narinig kong isyu is, ‘Ah, kabit iyan kaya nanalo ‘yan.’ That was nasty,” she narrated.
She then added lambasting such, “Isa akong babae, kung saan lahat ng meron ako, pinaghihirapan ko.”
Considering the fact that she is now public property, amid the rude comments and remarks, she went to her mother which is the first thing she did, and told her to be strong. For her, as long as they do the right thing, people can just say anything and it would just remain baseless because they know their truth as per report a report from PEP.
