Filipino campaigners Richard Gonzales and Ian Lariba had qualified in the World Table Tennis Championship in Japan after their great showing in the last Sea Games in Myanmar, Table Tennis (–foul word(s) removed–)ociation of the Philippines (TATAP) president Ting Ledesma said.

Gonzales, who clinched bronze medal in Sea games, together with Lariba are the only players so far to secure a spot in competition but other Filipino hitters are being evaluated as well.

“I always train hard and give my best everytime. I don’t want to expect anything but I will go there to win.” He added.
The World championship will be held on April 28-May 5 in Tokyo.
