GMA Network was involved in the latest controversy online as one of the alleged suspect of Vhong Navarro’s attacked, Denise Millet Cornejo claimed that she was the granddaughter of GMA Chairman and CEO Atty. Felipe L. Gozon.

This is to clarify that the complainant involved in the Vhong Navarro incident is not related to GMA Chairman and CEO Atty. Felipe L. Gozon.
From the moment GMA News learned of the story, it sought the side of Vhong Navarro. Roño, his manager, gave GMA News a written statement, which was aired yesterday. Today, GMA News aired an interview with Navarro’s lawyer Atty Alma Mallonga. The report about the alleged attempted r*** was based on the blotter filed at the Investigative Section of the Southern Police District where Vhong Navarro was taken after the incident. Other news organizations also reported it.
The Kapuso Network denied that Denise Millet Cornejo is involved with GMA Network. The alleged mastermind behind Vhong Navarro’s (–foul word(s) removed–)ault, Denise Cornejo claimed that she is also the grand niece of the second President of GMA Network, Rod Cornejo who become President of the Network for 20 years.
The 22-year-old model, Denise Cornejo’s claimed is not yet proven but the social media people and netizens already linked the GMA Network to the controversial beating of Vhong Navarro.
The GMA Network released an official statement regarding the issue, an hour after “#GMAPhilippinesWorstNetwork” started trending on Twitter. According to their official statement, GMA denied Gozon’s relationship with Denise.
Denise Millet Cornejo stated earlier on her Instagram account which was posted about 20 weeks ago, which also features Atty. Gozon. She claimed her relationship with Gozon by stating “With lolo felipe gozon ceo of GMA 7 it was nice to hear that they want me to be one of their princess #letmethinkitover #23rdtourismawardsnight”
