Sharifa Akeel, the new wife of Toto Mangudadatu, speaks about her husband and their story.
TOTO MANGUDADATU – Rep. Esmael Mangudadatu is finally married to Sharifa Akeel and here’s the story of their love that started six years ago.
Miss Asia Pacific International 2018 Sharifa Akeel was only 18 years old when she received a marriage proposal from Rep. Esmael Mangudadatu (Second District, Maguindanao) or also known as Toto Mangudadatu. She was so young that she immediately turned it down because she got other bigger dreams.

What has attracted Toto apart from her beauty is her good character and personality. He offered her friendship and that’s what she accepted. They became friends and have communicated. However, for a moment, they lost the grip of contact with each other. They met again in 2019 and that’s where it all started. Toto remained consistent over his intention and did things that made her fall in love with him and Sharifa has seen it all. She appreciated everything that he did for her.
In a post, Sharifa shared that the road to their happy ending was bumpy. They got married last August 25 in a Muslim ceremony held at the Ar Nor Hotel and Convention Center in Cotabato City. In a post after their wedding, Sharifa shared her realization in life and how significant her husband is to her for filling what she has been missing all those years.
“I am excited to take on this new adventure, this new phase in my life, because I will be going on it with you, Husband,” she wrote. It was this year that they are brought closer together and she believed that they will not be where they are now if not for his efforts to make them work.
She stressed that she loved him as a person and not because of the promising luxuries that he can give her. She loves him for who he is and not because of his status. In a video, Toto said that Sharifa was never his mistress.
