The 30-year-old target is a tricycle driver who also owns and operates a drug den. He was detained together with four other guys who were supposedly narcotics dealers.
PDEA NCR has taken custody of the five drug suspects who were arrested. They will be charged for breaking the Controlled Substances Act.
Meanwhile, Anti-narcotic operatives killed a drug trader after a buy-bust operation turned into a shootout when the suspect act as a PDEA agent. According to PDEA Director General Wilkins Villanueva, the killed drug suspect was apparently posing as a PDEA agent during his illegal activities.
Unfortunately, he perished after coming into contact with real law enforcement officers in Camarines Sur during the buy-bust operation. The suspect was allegedly slain when he got into a fight with the cops during the operation conducted against him.
Villanueva stressed that falsely representing a person of authority is a serious crime punishable by law. People who are openly doing their illicit activities lead to erosion of trust and confidence in PDEA, said PDEA Director.
