Police authorities arrested an online seller after he was caught possessing an illegal plant called “Maryjane” worth P1.1 million during buy-bust.
A 24-year-old online vendor yields more than P1.1 million worth of alleged dried leaves of a high-grade illegal plant known as “marijuana.” According to the article, the suspect’s name is Michael Kevin Garcia.
According to Caloocan Police Chief P/Col. Samuel Mina, Garcia was arrested in front of his home at 116 Ligaya St., Brgy. 122, by Station Drug Enforcement Unit (SDEU) operatives, commanded by P/Maj. Deo Cabildo and the NCRPO Regional Mobile Force Battalion (RMFB) led by P/Maj. Vilmer Miralles.
Officer Daryl Villanueva was able to conduct business with the suspect after posing as a buyer of the illegal substances Garcia was peddling. The guy allegedly sold Villanueva P4,000 worth of illegal drug plants.
After receiving the pre-arranged signal from Patrolman Villanueva, Garcia presented a medium transparent plastic bag of dried Maryjane leaves and fruiting tips to the poseur buyer in exchange for marked money.
The operation was carried out after a week of validation, according to Col. Mina, after obtaining information from an informant about the suspect’s alleged illegal drug activities. The suspect was found with approximately 9,250 grams of suspected high-grade dried leaves and fruiting tops with a normal drug price of P1.110,000.00, buy-bust money in the amount of a real P1,000 bill, and three pieces of P1,000 boodle money.
