Nicka Arejola, the owner of “Evelyn,” a Siberian Husky, said she will file a police report against both individuals. According to the owner, her dog just surrendered to the suspects in order to prevent them from pursuing her.
Arejola said her dog went missing last week and that she immediately informed the barangay. She was later informed that her dog had already died.
The accused dragged her dog until they couldn’t see it anymore, according to the grieving owner. Enriquez and Mendoza admitted to slapping the dog because it killed several of their chicks.
According to the accused’ defense, they were motivated by rage, which led to the murder. Arejola later received an apology from Enriquez for the incident.
Meanwhile, Arejola has stated that she will continue to pursue the two guys. Under the Animal Welfare Act, the two accused could face a prison sentence ranging from six months to two years.
