2 More Patients Died From COVID-19 In Quezon, Death Toll At 263
QUEZON – According to the Integrated Provincial Health Office (IPHO), 2 more patients infected with COVID-19 died in Lucena city.
Currently, Quezon is still placed under a modified general community quarantine (MGCQ). Unfortunately, in some areas, there has still been a continuous rise in COVID-19 cases.
According to an article from Inquirer, the two patients were from TIaong and Gumaca. Because of this, the province has now recorded 263 deaths in total due to the coronavirus.
However, the Integrated Provincial Health Office (IPHO) in Quezon failed to disclose further information regarding the deaths. But, at least 66 of the total 263 deaths due to COVID-19 were from Lucena.
As per the article, Quezon has 130 active cases of COVID-19. This has been a major drop in the number of cases compared to the total 1,119 active cases recorded just November of last year.
Fortunately, with the vaccine program rollout, Quezon expects to plateau these numbers. As of now, the Department of Health (DOH) has allocated a total of 1,618 doses of Sinovac from the province.
