Pinay Grandma Grateful After Surviving Blood Disorder She Gets Due to COVID-19 Vaccine
A Pinay grandma survived after developing a blood disorder due to COVID-19 vaccine “Pangalawang buhay ko na ito”.
A 72-year-old Filipina in New York named Luz Legaspi is grateful for what she considers her second life after surviving a blood disorder. She is considering her life now as her second life after the incident.
“Pangalawang buhay ko na nga raw ito dahil hindi rin nila sukat akalain na malalampasan ko ito,” Legaspi said.
Legaspi narrated that the doctors and health experts did their best to save her life. She has been with her family in New York for almost seven years and received the Moderna COVID-19 shot last January 18, 2021
Initially, the Pinay grandma did not feel any negative effects after the vaccination but suffered bruises and blood in her mouth upon waking up the next day. She also suffered nose bleeding and rashes throughout her body.
The elderly lady was rushed to the hospital and has been confined for two weeks at Elmhurst Hospital. The granny was discharged from the hospital after she fully recovered. The doctors said that Luz would not get the second shot of the vaccine because her body will not able to take it.

Legaspi reportedly suffered from Thrombocytopenia, a disease wherein the platelets lost their ability to help in blood clotting that may lead to internal bleeding,
