Trump Farewell Speech Doesn’t Acknowledge Biden By Name
TRUMP FAREWELL SPEECH – Outgoing U.S. President Donald Trump made a farewell address released Tuesday. However, his speech never included his Democratic successor’s name.
Joe Biden’s inauguration is set for January 20, 2020 (EST). As such, Trump bids farewell to his final days as the President of the United States. A day before he leaves the White House, Trump said:
This week, we inaugurate a new administration and pray for its success in keeping America safe and prosperous… We extend our best wishes, and we also want them to have luck – a very important word.

However, this is the best Trump had the offer when it comes to giving a full concession to Biden. Furthermore, Trump emphasized that he had done what he needed to do and so much more during his stint as President. He added that he “took on the tough battles, the hardest fights, the most difficult choices“.
Additionally, Trump noted how he took on China and “stood up” to the country “like never before”. Moreover, he said that he was proud to be the first president in decades who started no new wars.
Along with this, the outgoing President also condemned the attack on the Capitol on January 6, three weeks after the incident. According to an article from ABS-CBN, he said:
All Americans were horrified by the assault on our Capitol. Political violence is an attack on everything we cherish as Americans. It can never be tolerated
But, with his parting words, Trump mentioned that as he prepares to turn over his post to the “new administration”, the “movement” he started was “just the beginning”.
