A kind netizen called the attention of the public to help a poor couple who can’t afford the medication at the hospital.
The Facebook page “Inquirer.net” has shared the heartbreaking situation of a less-fortunate couple at Bulacan Medical Center in Malolos. The post breaks the hearts of the online community.
A netizen named Lerissa Pagulayan narrated that she saw the elderly couple inside the hospital. The elderly woman identified as nanay Angelita Mirason suffered a drastic drop with her blood sugar, which may lead to further health complications.
Pagulayan said that the elderly couple can’t afford the medication and had no enough cash to pay the hospital fees. The only child of the couple has epilepsy and can’t help them with their financial necessities.
“Awang-awa po kami kasi maski singkong duling walang-wala po sila. May times din na nawawalan ng ulirat si nanay kapag sobrang baba ng sugar niya. Kagaya kagabi nung sinamahan ko siya para umihi, hindi na niya ‘yon maalala.” Pagulayan said.
