Claire dela Fuente has this statement on Christine Dacera Case Suspects
Christine Dacera Case Suspects – Veteran singer Claire dela Fuente defended her son Gregorio Angelo Rafael de Guzman against trial by publicity.
Following the death of the flight attendant, 11 suspects were named and them were detained by the Philippine National Police. Authorities released a statement that it was a “rape-slay case” and so the public condemned the named “suspects”.
In line with this, Dela Fuente appealed to the public not to easily judge her son, based on the article from PEP. The veteran singer felt dismayed that the name of her son got involved in this case as she said that what happened was unfair.
“This is so unfair, but I know that God has a reason for all of these. The truth is on our side and I am confident na malulusutan ito ng anak ko,” the singer siad in an interview.
She also said that her son was the one who tried to revive Christine. “Iyak siya nang iyak. He was so frustrated because he wanted to save her life but was not able to,” Dela Fuente added.
As the public is already condemning the suspects, the veteran singer appealed to let the logic prevail.
“At hindi totoo na nagtatago ang anak ko. From the start, andiyan lang siya following police advisory. At ano yung case na provisional homicide rape? Ngayon ko lang narinig yun. Together with our lawyer, I am here to support my son!” she added.
Dela Fuente also has a message to the mother of Christine Dacera. She said that she understands her grief as a mother but there should be a balancing act.
“Maging resonable tayo para di tayo makasakit ng mga inosente at makapagbiktima ng ibang tao. Let’s not put innocent people in jail!” the singer stressed.
Regarding the Christine Dacera Case suspects, PNP Chief General Debold Sinas threatened to hunt them down if they will not surrender.
