The Facebook page “Balitang SJDM” has shared the photos of clearing personnel confiscating the products of street vendors. The photos have gone viral and garnered various comments from the netizens.
The poor vendors in Towerville Barangay Minuyan Proper has expressed their disappointment after the clearing personnel confiscate the items they were selling. They are considering the act inhumane.
Some vendors revealed that they just borrowed money and items from sellers just to earn money from their profit. The poor vendors said that they just to earn money amid the health crisis.
The street sellers can’t do nothing but to cry while carrying some of the products. Selling along the streets is strictly prohibited in the area.

“Umalma ang mga vendor sa Towerville Barangay Minuyan Proper matapos makuhaan ng mga paninda kaninang umaga.
Ayon sa ilang mga vendor ay tila hindi na makatao ang ginagawa na clearing operation sa kanilang mga naghahanapbuhay na inutang lamang ang puhunan. Nais lamang daw nilang kumita ngayong may pandemya.
Walang nagawa ang mga vendor kundi umiyak na lamang sa isang tabi habang hinahakot ang kanilang mg paninda.
Samantala, matagal nang mahigpit na ipinagbabawal sa lungsod ang pagtitinda sa sidelwalk.”
