Medical Waste Scattered At EDSA Causing Concerns From Residents

Medical Waste Scattered At EDSA – A concerning scene was reported on social media showing medical waste scattered along a sidewalk.

Recently, a similar incident happened in the streets of Sampaloc, Manila. There, used test kits for COVID-19 were scattered from Trabaho Market all the way to España Boulevard. As such, residents are concerned about the possibility of one of these kits being positive for COVID-19.

Meanwhile, on Monday, September 28, several PPEs such as facemasks and other medical waste were seen thrashed along EDSA. Due to this, residents became weary of the potential hazards the medical waste may have posed, especially amid the pandemic.

Here are the photos uploaded on Twitter by News5 showing the medical waste scattered on the streets. As you can see in the image below, the trash isn’t only centered in one area, instead, the spread spans across the long sidewalk.
