PHOTO: Bangko Sentral Ng Pilipinas Enhances Philippine Banknotes
BANGKO SENTRAL NG PILIPINAS – The Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas recently showed an enhanced version of Philippine banknotes.
According to Rappler, the enhanced banknotes are said to be responsive to the needs of the elderly and the visually impaired.
It also features the latest anti-counterfeiting technology.
The banknotes of Philippine peso includes 1000, 500, 200, 100, 50, and 20 peso bill. the enhanced banknotes that BSP released excluded the 20 peso bill.
From the first glance, we can see certain differences in the 1000 and 500 peso bill, with the enhanced 1000 peso bill having a metallic green color on the 1000, and the 500 bill having a metallic gold on 500.
What’s more is that the 100 peso bill retains its violet color. This might be because of the confusion of collors between the said bill, as well as the 1000 bill.
The enhanced bills overall also has its security thread (the dashed line on the center right of the bill) having a different pattern than the current.
