ABS-CBN FRANCHISE – A resolution seeking for the reconsideration of the Kapamilya network’s franchise renewal was passed in Pandan, Antique.

The public has different reactions on the junking of the franchise bid of ABS-CBN Network. Last July 10, seventy (70) lawmakers voted to deny the network of a fresh 25-year franchise.

Only eleven (11) lawmakers voted for the stand that sides the network. Thirteen (13) hearings were held prior to the voting to discuss the issues thrown against the network.

Some people are satisfied by the decision of the House Franchise Committee. Others are disappointed as many employees of the network may lose their jobs amid the COVID-19 pandemic now.
