64-Year-Old Grandpa Bursts Into Due To Hunger While Carrying Heavy Sack
A 64-year-old grandpa identified as Rodrigo Baluyot sits beside the road and cried due to hunger while carrying a heavy sack.
Lolo Rodrigo is carrying a heavy sack from Bulacan heading to Manila but he sits beside the road and bursts into tears due to hunger. The heavy load and his empty stomach make his commuting experience much difficult.
A personnel of the PNP-Highway Patrol Group saw and helped Lolo Rodrigo. The cop carried the heavy sack while crossing the footbridge on EDSA but the old man sat down and cried when they reached the other side.
“Gutom na. Wala po akong pera,” Lolo Rodrigo stressed out. The grandpa also explained that he would temporarily stay with his sibling.
Luckily, one commuter heard the sentiments of the old man and gave him food (Hopia). Baluyot also expressed his gratitude towards the policeman for assisting him until he was able to get a ride.
Lolo Rodrigo is only one of the thousands of passengers who were experiencing difficulty and spending hours before they could get a ride due to the reduced capacities of the public utility vehicles in compliance with the social distancing measures.
