Man Nabbed by Authorities Over Stealing Accusations
MAN – A 53-year-old pedicab driver was arrested by the authorities for allegedly stealing two (2) cans of luncheon meat at a grocery store in Manila.
Undeniably, a lot of people are currently struggling in life now. Many can barely make ends meet even before the COVID-19 pandemic took place and the challenge is doubled now that the country is in crisis.

Recently, in Paco, Manila, a 53-year-old man was arrested for allegedly stealing two (2) cans of luncheon meat. Based on a report on ABS-CBN News, the suspect works as a pedicab driver.
The suspect is a resident of Barrio Tejeros, Makati City. The incident took place at Super 8 Retail Systems Inc.’s grocery store in Paco, Manila. Based on the report, the security guard caught the man taking out two (2) unpaid cans of luncheon meat.
The pedicab driver was reportedly given the chance to pay for the two (2) cans of luncheon meat. It was worth Php. 381.00. However, his wife did not arrive.
According to Paco PCP, the suspect has already gone out of the store when the security guard confronted him. He went through a medical check-up before he was brought to Ermita Police Station.
A case for theft through shoplifting was filed against the 53-year-old pedicab driver. He is set to face the Manila Prosecutor’s Office.
