Helpless Suspect Dies After Cruel Police Officer Kneels on His Neck
A helpless suspect identified as George Floyd cried “I can’t breathe” and eventually died after a policeman knelt on his neck.
The video footage of Minneapolis officer kneeling on the neck of a dying African-American suspect immediately spread like a wildfire online. The disturbing incident sparks outrage from the online community.
In the video, it can be seen that one of the cops knelt Floyd’s neck for more than five minutes. The black man is already complaining that he cannot breathe but the police officers continue to press his neck.
“Your knee in my neck. I can’t breathe… Mama. Mama,” Floyd begged the policeman.
The bystanders were also begging the cops to stop the officer from kneeling on Floyd’s neck as he struggled to breath. The police officers ignored them until the black man grow silent and motionless.
George was immediately rushed to the hospital but the health experts eventually declared him dead. The gruesome incident has been described by the online community as pure evil.
Recently, Minneapolis Police Chief Medaria Arradondo announced that the four cops involved in the incident have been terminated. The officers’ names have not been released but Floyd’s family lawyer named the cops as Derek Chauvin and Tou Thao.
‘We know there are inherent dangers in the profession of policing but the vast majority of the work we do never requires the use of force,’ Arradondo said.
