Brgy Handumanan Distribution Of SAP Slammed By Netizens
DISTRIBUTION OF SAP – Brgy Handumanan, Bacolod City began distributing cash aid from the Social Amelioration Program.
However, the local government officials decided not to go door-to-door to deliver the cash aid. Instead, they asked residents to fall in line to receive the assistance from SAP.
In the photos posted by Facebook netizen Rommel Exanes, you could see hundreds of people crammed together. Although police were roaming the area and maintaining order, social distancing was nowhere to be found.
The line went from street-to-street with people at the back of the line taking ages to see what’s in the front. Meanwhile, in an aerial video posted by Kaine Francis Malayang Corteza, you could see just how far the line went.
Sadly, even with the long wait, some people stated that their names weren’t even on the list. As such, netizens slammed the barangay for their lack of planning amid the quarantine.
Instead of being at least 6 feet apart, the people were inches away from each other. This would be the last thing you wanted to see during an epidemic.
