LGBT Members in Long Gown Handing Out Veggies Brought Good Vibes
GUMACA, QUEZON – LGBT community members brought good vibes to netizens after handing out vegetables while wearing long gown.
With their long gowns, sash, crowns, and face masks the so-called these ‘sireynas’ were not on stage, but on the streets of Gumaca, Quezon to distribute fresh vegetables to residents. While reminding them of the importance of social distancing and staying indoors.
On the Gumaca local government Facebook page, they said they were aware of the importance of maintaining physical and mental health to prevent COVID-19 so they thought to do so.
“Ang kalusugan ang ating pangunahing sandata laban sa COVID-19. Ang pagkakaroon ng malusog na pangangatawan, isipan o mental health, at emotional well-being ay mahalaga sa gitna ng krisis na ating kinakaharap,” said on the Facebook post.
Despite scorching heat of sun these ‘sireynas’ didn’t endure it just bring joy and a small offering to our fellow citizens in Brgy. Splash and Brgy. San Diego. The LGBT community has made it possible for residents to relive their fears as they are reminded of the importance of social distancing and community quarantine.
The Gumaca thanked LGBT for their contribution to keeping the community safe. “Tunay na ang lahat, anuman ang kasarian o katayuan sa buhay, ay may maiaambag upang mapanitili nating COVID-free ang ating pamayanan. Ang pananatili sa ating mga tahanan ay isang malaking kontribusyon sa laban natin kontra COVID-19,” they said.
