NBI Arrests Online Seller In Tubigon, Bohol For Selling Overpriced Alcohol

TUBIGON – The National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) recently nabbed an online seller in Tubigon town, Bohol for selling overpriced alcohol.

Furthermore, they seized several boxes of the products he sells in an entrapment operation. This is among NBI’s intensified drive against price freeze violators, according to Bohol Chronicles.

Operatives captured the violator, identified as Marniel Caluna in a staged transaction between him and a poseur-buyer near his residence in the said town on Thursday afternoon.

NBI Bohol chief Renan Olavia said that the operatives reportedly seized 29 boxes filled with 12 1-liter alcohol bottles each from the suspect.

The products are said to be worth at about ₱70,000 based on Caluna’s set price, but over ₱47,000 as set by the DTI.

As per the report, he is now imprisoned at the NBI lock-up jail and will be charged for violating the Price Act.

For the past weeks, the NBI arrested two more price freeze violators who allegedly sold overpriced essentials.

NBI vowed to apprehend those who who take advantage of the health crisis by doing these acts.
